The Subhaniya Anjuman Islamiya society was founded by the great visionary of the time Janab Hakeem Mohammed Abdus Subhan Sahab he was concerned about the education to all categories of the society specially the girls. He donated all his assets for the educational development and started initially Primary School in 1926 which later on upgraded into Middle School in 1967 and Higher Secondary School in 1969. The contribution of Shri Raghuvanshnath Thakur and Abdul Karim is worth remembering as the associates of Janab Hakeem Mohammed Abdus Subhan Sahab.

In developing the institution the contribution of Janab Bashir Ahmed Qureshi (Ex. MLA) and brothers and many other learned persons of the Bilaspur is worth mentioning. The institution was established in the pre-independent period the education in this institution has been in the forefront right from its inception in Bilaspur city. Shri K.G. Ansari, Dr. Riyazuddin, Dr. A.H. Khan, Dr. M.F.K. Khokhar and so many other reputed persons of that time began the movement of opening B.Ed. College under the umbrella of Subhaniya Anjuman Islamiya Bilaspur, Shri K.G. Ansari, Senior Advocate was Secretary of the society till the last breath. He will be ever remembered for his great devotion, honesty and full commitment for starting B.Ed. College with head and heart he developed the prestigious college his untiring efforts in the establishment of the B.Ed. College cannot be forgotten.
The institution is presently conducting the professional course which is governed by the rules and regulations of NCTE New Delhi. The college is among the best education college of the Atal Bihari Bajpayee University, Bilaspur. The Rules and Regulations to the students taking admission to the course on the first day is communicated itself. The college is also known for maintaining discipline in the college premises and always ready to attend the problem of the student. The college provides value education to the students by organizing lectures of prominent personalities. To inculcate civil responsibility among the students various programmes are arranged.

The college has a picturesque campus with a majestic building offering a salubrious climate and amiable atmosphere for higher studies. Maulana Azad College of Education B.Ed. College is a leading teaching institution in the state of Chattisgarh, established in 2005. It aims at developing students into knowledgeable individuals and worthy educators with sound character. The prime objective of the college is to disseminate advanced knowledge, wisdom, and understanding through teaching. For achieving its goals, the college intends to promote advanced learning through advanced teaching methods and extension programs. It is inculcating in its future teachers a consciousness regarding honest teaching which is a social need of the country thus preparing them for fulfilling such needs. As it is said that a good teacher is a doctor who heals ignorance and an artist who inspires creativity so overall teachers make perfect human beings & it is a noble job.
I am hopeful that in the future Maulana Azad College of Education B.Ed. Maulana Azad College of Education B.Ed. College is started with the motto of making ideal teachers. As a profession, it is important to ensure that teaching has strong professional leadership that sets clear standards of entry, profession, and professional accountability. Such professional leadership must be owned by the professional to improve the quality and status of the teaching work fore. College endeavors to maintain a student-friendly environment to provide quality education and prepare professional youth sensitive to human needs.
There are no limits to growth because there are no limits for human intelligence, imagination, and wonder. So there is a need to explore the world of knowledge by a true learning process. A good teacher is first a good learner always. College provides a healthy environment for the learning process. Teaching is the greatest act of optimism so here we inculcate an optimistic approach.

- The college provide sufficient and well support services for the student. Awards of Gold Medal (In the memory of Late Saleka Khokhar), cash prize are provided to the meritorious student.
- The college has a governing body dully nominated under statuary provision of University Act 1973 presently the governing body is headed by Advocate Saleem Kazi former Deputy Advocate General, Chhattisgarh High Court Bilaspur.
- The college has been using optimums utilization of the infrastructure facilities considering the increasing number of students the college has constructed separate class room to cater the academic needs.
- The college has a good library with good collection of books and journals. The library committee also considers the suggestions of the students and act accordingly.
- The collage has Computer Lab with internet facility.
- The college has various indoor and outdoor game facilities. The outstanding sports person are given incentives and reward by the college on different occasion.
- The entire college campus has under the CCTV surveillance.
- The last but not the least important factor of the college is that the qualified Principal and staff members are appointed, under statue 28 of the University Act only on the recommendation of selection committee duly formed by the Vice Chancellor of the Atal Bihari Bajpayee University.
